Shapes Furniture Ltd was established in 1974, starting from a small workshop in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town, and quickly gaining a reputation for holding an interesting stock of soundly constructed cabinet furniture unavailable in the more established showrooms. Shapes stockholding is now reputed to be the largest and best of its type in the UK and attracts buyers from all over the world.
Following Shapes Furnitures’ early success, the antique auction department opened in 1993, and has gone from strength to strength, with one of the most notable highlights being the sale of Jack Vettriano’s ‘Dance Me to the End of Love’ which sold for £346,000.
In 1998 Shapes relocated to Sighthill on the west side of the city, expanding the business into an impressive 50,000 square foot showroom, which boasts adequate free parking facilities and easy access to the city bypass and other major routes.
Early 2018 and we have now relocated to our stunning new premises at Port Edgar Marina, South Queensferry. Our open and brightly lit showroom boasts nothing but pure elegance & luxury throughout.
